Lunys, s.r.o. is the leading Slovak company primarily engaged in the import and distribution of fresh packaged fruits and vegetables in Slovakia. The company mainly deals in wholesale and retail sales in the market segments of Gastro, HoReCa, but also in retail chains or school canteens. Lunys, s.r.o. also exports its products to neighbouring countries. The company also provides freight and logistics services. Through its subsidiary, LH produkt, s.r.o., it is able to handle, boil and package up to 30 tons of peeled potatoes daily. It also enables processing of other kinds of vegetables and fruit.

School fruit

LUNYS is an important supplier of fruit and vegetables for many Slovak schools. We supply all types of schools - kindergardens and primary schools, high schools, and also university canteens. Apart from fruit and vegetables we supply a wide range of grocery products to school facilities. Primary schools and kindergardens are offered the opportunity to participate in the School Fruit programme, which was created by the EU with the aim of raising awareness of healthy eating. Its aim is to change eating habits at an early age and thereby prevent excess weight or obesity. LUNYS first joined the programme during the 2009/2010 school year. We also provide schools our own loyalty programme with many attractive advantages and rewards.

Transport and Shipping

Lunys brings to European market quality services in the area of shipping and transport.

We have a fleet of trucks and lorries, in addition to an extensive database of external transporters. Our bulk transport is therefore not only for our own purposes, but we also offer our services to other clients.

WHERE WE TRANSPORT

We specialise in the whole European Union, including the UK, Scandinavia and the Baltic states. Approximately 10% of our business is made up of transport in the regions of Russia, Eastern Europe, the Balkans and parts of Asia, where we arrange shipping - through our network of trusted suppliers.

Our own storage space in Poprad and Bratislava with a total area exceeding 6500m².

The company began as a response to current trends in the area of catering for end-users.
We save valuable time for our clients which they would otherwise spend processing and preparing products.

The technology which we have available is able to process, boil and pack up to 30 tons of peeled potatoes daily. We also peel, process and pack many other types of fruit and vegetables.

Our Lunys product line is thereby widened to include quality, modern products, suitable for pre-catering or home use.
